Trip 666: Hiking from Maaser Shouf to Barouk Forests


The Footprints Nature Club would like to invite you this Sunday 21 June 2026 to a splendid hike in Shouf Biosphere Reserve that will be:

Hiking from Maaser Shouf to Barouk Forests

The trail will take us from the amazing cedars forest of Maaser Shouf to the amazing cedars forest of Barouk. Amazing panoramic sceneries will be with us all the way.

The trail will be of Medium (7 to 8/10): We will start with the first group in Maaser Shouf Reserve, and continue after they stop to the Barouk Reserve, and then back.

رحلتنا ستبدأ من محمية أرز معاصر الشوف الرائعة باتجاه محمية الباروك ثم العودة الى المعاصر. مناظر رائعة بانتظارنا طوال الرحلة.

الرحلة ستكون بمستوى متوسط: نمشي من محمية معاصر الشوف باتجاه محمية الباروك.

Your personal insurance.

Cost Fees

The trip's fees will be 25$, covering:
  • Transportation from and back to Beirut
  • Cost of the guides

 

Gathering Place & Time

Our gathering will be at the traffic lights on the crossroad of the General Security building الأمن العام and El-Mathaf المتحف region in Beirut. You can park in the parking nearby starting 7:00 AM...

We will start on Sunday 21 Jun, 2026 at 07:00 AM.
The bus will move at 07:35 AM.
We will stop for breakfast on the way. We might be obliged to do some modifications to the plans as needed during the trips.
We will finish on Sunday 21 Jun, 2026 at 05:00 PM.

    THE LESS YOU CARRY, THE MORE ENJOYABLE THE HIKE.

    Avoid Huffing and Puffing

    IF YOU CAN TALK WHILE YOU ARE WALKING, YOU ARE WALKING THE PERFECT SPEED.

    Take a Break

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
